bauma is the leading trade fair for showcasing ground-breaking innovations. Such a wide range of the best and latest in construction, building material or mining machinery and its related areas is nowhere else to be seen – only there.
The head organisations of the German construction industry, the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) and the trade fair organizer Messe München use this as an occasion to offer the bauma innovation award every three years in the forerun to bauma.
With the award the organisers honour R&D teams of companies and universities who have developed leading edge technology of high practical use for the construction, building material and mining industry focussing on the environment, scarce resources and the human being in general.

Jury awards bauma-Innovation Prize 2010: Six winners in five categories
Munich, 19 April 2010 – Honouring the winners of the bauma innovation award a ceremony organized by VDMA, the head associations of the German construction industry and Messe Munich was held in Munich yesterday. The prize is awarded in the run-up to bauma, the worldwide biggest fair on construction equipment, building material and mining machinery. More than 200 applications, national and international, had been submitted for the award offered in five categories; 15 world premieres made it to the final round.
